What is Thai Massage?
Thai Massage is a full-body recovery experience that consists of assisted stretching, gentle to medium pressure massage, and movement to help improve mobility, reduce muscle tension, and support overall performance. Thai Massage is often described as “Assisted Yoga” as it allows your body to be guided through stretches you may not achieve on your own.
Thai Massage is performed fully clothed. We recommend comfortable, athletic style clothing that allows for movement. Sessions will take place on a floor mat, creating space for a dynamic stretching, joint mobility work and body alignment.
What to expect during a Thai Massage?
Expect your entire body to be worked from head to toe. Sessions often focus on opening the hips, loosening the back and restoring mobility in the shoulders. Thai Massage can be gentle or more intense depending on your needs. Your Thai Masseuse will adjust the pressure and techniques to match your comfort and recovery goals.
You may be guided to focus on your breathing during certain stretches. This will help your body relax, and go deeper into the work, and enhances the recovery benefits.
